By Beacon Senior News The Veterans Charity Ride (VCR) is a veteran-operated nonprofit that uses “motorcycle therapy” to get vets outdoors and connect them with a strong network of other veterans. This year’s ride to the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally starts on July 29 in Moab, Utah. Riders stop in Craig and Fort Collins and ride through some of the nation’s most scenic backroads and highways before arriving in South Dakota on August 7. The veterans will be stopping at the Fruita Maverik on US Hwy 50 from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4.
Catch the vets as they travel through Grand Junction and chat with them about their initial feel of motorcycle therapy as they stop to fuel up at Maverik’s.
