Darius Wallace (aka "Chief")- u.s. navy (Rider)

A North Carolina native, Darius Wallace joined the US Navy in August, 1986 right out of high school. Darius became a cryptologic technician and served 24 years before retiring in 2010.

Darius started riding motorcycles in 1999 while stationed at Misawa, Japan.  He quickly learned to ride his first bike, a Kawasaki Ninja GPZ 1100. Within a month, Darius had ridden from northern Japan to southern Japan (touring).  After leaving Japan, Darius was stationed at the Pentagon where he continued riding but this time a sports bike (ZX9R).  He now rides a BMW K1200s sports/touring bike and a Honda Goldwing 1800A. Darius has been riding for 21 years with no intention of stopping.  Next year, he plans to ride from Wilmington, NC to San Diego, CA and back to NC.  Darius said, “I’ve always wanted to attend Sturgis and I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity with Veterans Charity Ride.”
