He joined the active-duty Marine Corps, after graduating high school and quitting his job of 4 years with the local salvage yard and tent company. He served twenty-one years on active duty with the primary MOS 0313 LAV Crewman LAR light armored Recon, 0369 Infantry Unit Leader LAR, Special duty assignment 8421 Career Counselor, additional MOS 8531 Marksmanship Instructor, Special duty assignment 8513 Marine Combat Instructor, additional MOS 9962 Parachutist, 8999 Senior Enlisted First Sgt for the last 3 years 9 months.

Sean has 6 deployments overall with 4 of those combat deployments to OEF1 Afghanistan 2001-2002, OIF1 Iraq 2003, OIF the surge 2007, OEF the surge 2009. Sean's father and two uncles all served as Infantrymen in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War 1967-1969. From hearing their stories and of their regret of not staying in the Marine Corps for twenty years was an influence on Sean to join and stay in the USMC, fight for our freedom, and see the world. Some of the countries he has visited and deployed to are: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Somalia, Djibouti, UAE, Kuwait, Jordon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Ireland, Tajikistan, Baja Mexico, Kenya, Bahrain, Qatar, Philippines, Tahiti, Pakistan, Japan. Sean Started riding Motorcycles at the age of 5 with his father and mother on a Suzuki 50 dirt bike. Over the years he has had numerous dirt and street bikes. After retiring from the USMC, he became a member of the Big Bear trail ride dual sport club. He gained many acquaintances through the club, as well as the realization of the head clearing healing effect of just getting out and riding / camping with good people. Sean wants to continue riding Street, dual sport, adventures to further his friendships, foster camaraderie and discover new adventures. After retiring from the USMC and in between motor rides he met his wife Thea who also has traveled to many places while working with the Barnum & Bailey Circus and loves to travel. They have been together for the last 9 years riding and traveling. They have raised two children, Shae now 22 yrs old who works as a bookkeeper and wife /mother, and Cassidy 25 who has been in the USMC since 2017. Since meeting his wife, Sean has worked as an Assistant Brewer 2015-16, worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an engineering tech 2016-21, active investor of ETF funds, and currently works on occasional projects with Northern Nevada Fire Protection. |
