It was John's love for helicopters that led him to a career in the Army and he served for over 26 years in the active Army and reserves as a helicopter pilot. He was also very active in the CVMA. 

“It is a privilege and honor to be returning to Veterans Charity Ride 2019 as part of the road crew! The opportunity to ride along as Road Captain in support of Veterans Charity Ride came about as several of my Brothers and Sisters from the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association were first participants and then returned as mentors in the program. VCR and the CVMA have been a good mix for me; the camaraderie, motorcycle riding and healing when Vets come together.  Being a part of VCR and being with other Vets, some who have serious challenges to overcome, has been both rewarding and humbling. I feel I have gained much more than I have given.”

We are very proud to have John back for 2019 leading our group once again. His leadership and riding skills made the ride to Sturgis one of the safest and smoothest rides to date. He's a calming influence for the entire group. We really appreciate you!
