Christopher Vining, Army Specialist, Heavy Equipment OperatorChris was born and raised in Pontchatoula, Louisiana. His family had a deep military history and he grew up hearing stories dating back to WWII and the Korean War.
In 2000, unfulfilled working as a mail carrier, Chris went to the National Guard Unit office and signed up. When Chris’s unit went to Afghanistan, he dutifully stayed home to care for his sick father. Later, when the opportunity arose, Chris volunteered to go to Iraq. Chris was injured in IED blasts resulting in a total and permanent disability rating. In November of 2020, Chris’s sister and her husband came by on their bikes and encouraged Chris to take one for a spin! Chris got on his sister’s bike and was hooked. He then took the Basic Rider Course and got riding lessons from his brother-in-law, a former Motorcycle Policeman. Chris bought a 2005 Yamaha V-Star and rode all over the area. Since then he’s had a series of V-twins and currently rides a 2016 H-D CVO. Chris still lives in his hometown, caring for his Mom and spoiling his dog. |
