Veterans Charity Ride to Sturgis 2017 Support
Bob served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Reactor Operator from December 1969 through August of 1973 and had several West-Pac deployments. Bob received a Medical Discharge (Honorable) due to a severe accident. Bob enjoys adventure and is excited to be a part of the Veterans Charity Ride support team so he can support other disabled veterans. Bob is a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and a Life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
After a distinguished career in the medical finance field, Bob retired on June 30, 2017 after 16+ years as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital (HMNH) in Valencia California. Bob earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Diego State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (non-practicing). Bob has served on several local community boards and was an active member of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and served as a Trustee on the California Hospital Association (CHA) Board of Trustees. He was involved in numerous charities including playing a major role in the annual HMNH Toyota Drive Safe Golf Classic as both Auctioneer and Goodwill ambassador. He regularly supported, with both his time and finances, the Holiday Home Tour, Guild Fashion Show (where he was often a featured model) and is a named donor for HMNH’s capital campaigns. Bob’s plans for retirement are to travel in his Motorhome, see the United States and continue to support Veteran Charities. |
