Christopher Wolff US Army Staff Sergeant (Ret)Chris Wolff grew up in Hesperia, CA. He was visiting New York in September 2001 where he witnessed first-hand the attacks on the World Trade Center. He enlisted just after that in October 2001 as an Aerospace Maintenance Journeyman. He did Basic Training at Lackland AFB and Tech School at Sheppard AFB.
Chris was stationed at Ramstein AFB in Germany as an A1C. Once becoming a SrA Chris deployed to Iraq in 2002 and 2003. He aided with tsunami relief in Thailand while stationed in Korea from 2004-2005. Chris put on SSgt in 2006 shortly after being stationed in Washington at McChord AFB. From there he deployed four more times, once more to Iraq and three to Afghanistan. One of Chris's favorite missions was Operation Deep Freeze where he spent two weeks working with the National Science Foundation in Antarctica in 2007. After 11 years of active duty, Chris was medically retired in March 2012 after becoming paralyzed by a mandatory inoculation he received upon returning home from Afghanistan. Since being retired, Chris has found new passions. He married Kellie in 2015 and they have 3 Wolff Cubs: Karlie, Garyn and Patton. He loves challenging his physical limits by doing obstacle course races, skydiving, and anything he can do with his active and retired brothers and sisters. Chris is so excited and incredibly thankful to be chosen for this year's Veteran's Charity Ride to Sturgis. He is most looking forward to meeting new people he can share his resources with and to be able to do this bucket list thing with the comradery he misses from his service. |
