SGT Michael P. Flowers US. ArmyMichael was born and raised in California. He graduated from Santa Teresa High School in San Jose CA. In 2004 he joined the U.S. Army and went to Basic Training at Ft. Jackson SC, with follow on to AIT at Ft. Eustis, VA. He graduated with a MOS of a 15S (Helicopter Repairer). His first Duty station was Ft. Drum NY, assigned to 3/17 CAV.
In 2006 he accessed to be a part of the 160th SOAR (A) at Ft. Campbell KY. Upon graduation of Green Platoon, he went to Jump School. Shortly after he came back to Ft. Campbell, he went on his 1st deployment to Iraq and a follow-on trip to Afghanistan. In 2007 he met his wife Alicia of 15 years now and 3 children later. In 2010 he was sent to the WTU (Warrior Transition unit) in which he proceeded to be medically discharged for his back and neck injuries. In 2011 he was finally Med Boarded and ended his Active-Duty Military career. In 2011 he started working for the U.S. Army as a Dunker Instructor for the 160th. At this job he was a Rescue Diver, Hoist operator and Classroom Instructor. He preformed these duties for the past 11 years. In December of 2022 he started a new career as an Aviation Life Support Technician. Michael is currently working for the 160th as a Cruz Associates employee. Michael has been a motorcycle enthusiast since he was 19. His bikes over the 24 years have been Honda Rebel (lol), 125 and 250 two stroke dirt bikes, 750 Suzuki, Harley Sportster and his favorite, a 2005 Road King Classic. Riding motorcycles is the best form of therapy for me, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be apart of this Veterans Charity Ride. |
